As a certified Narrative Therapist, Michelle uses Narrative ideas and approaches as the foundation of her work. Sometimes called collaborative therapy, these are a growing set of ethically based and innovative therapy ideas that recognize people use narrative, or story, to make meaning of their lives and identity and as such can re-author them. People re-author life according to intentions, purpose, values, beliefs, hopes, dreams, visions and commitments to ways of living.

Michelle creatively consults with individuals, couples, families and groups in accessing knowledge and abilities that may or may not be fully considered in the hope that they might provide new possibilities and ways to address the concerns that bring people to therapy. Michelle is also trained in both individual and group skills Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Michelle is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and Certified Life Coach, wife and mother of young adult children. In addition to her therapeutic training and work Michelle brings 17 years of successful sales and marketing experience to her coaching practice. It was her journey to create balance in her own life that sparked Michelle's passion for helping others be deliberate about balancing priorities and living meaningful satisfying lives.

Michelle is Certified Daring Way Facilitators of The Daring Way™. This is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.  During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
